Caring for your Crystals

Most (not all) crystals absorb and hold the energy frequencies of the environment or person in which they are placed with or in.  Both Positive and Negative in nature.

Cleansing
One of the fastest ways to cleanse crystals and bring them back to their own frequency is by using ceremonial white sage. Sage them for 1-3 minutes every 1-3 months, or as needed.

Can all crystals get wet?
The answer to this is No.  You need to know the Mohs hardness of the stone to make the decision of whether they can be placed in water.
Any crystal with a Mohs hardness of less than 6.5 should be placed in water
Any crystal in the Mohs 5 category or less may dissolve if immersed or washed in water.

Crystals that have a Mohs hardness of 7 or more can immersed in water or held under running water to clear energies.

Another method for Mohs hardness 7 or more can be placed in salt and water for approximately 10-30 minutes.  1-2 Tablespoons of salt to 2 cups water.

What is Mohs hardness?

Mohs scale. (mōz) A scale used to measure the relative hardness of a mineral by its resistance to scratching. From softest to hardest, the ten minerals of the Mohs scale are talc (measuring 1 on the scale), gypsum, calcite, fluorite, apatite, orthoclase, quartz, topaz, corundum, and diamond (measuring 10 on the scale).
